Welcome from Miss Wallace
Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you visit us often and if you have any ideas of things we could add to make it even better please let us know. If you are visiting the website to get an idea of what we are like but have not yet visited the school can I please urge you to do so. Everyone who visits us remarks on the lovely atmosphere within the school, the positive attitudes of the children and the amount of smiles they see whilst they are here. The whole school community is extremely proud of belonging to KFJ and I would like you to experience that in person. I won't lie to you, historically our KS2 results have not been good although progress from KS1 has generally been in line with the national average. I can promise you that accelerating progress and helping all our pupils reach their full potential has become our absolute focus. Our new team are full of energy and enthusiasm and have fallen in love with the school just as I did when I started a year ago. We have just had a Local Authority Review and I am delighted and proud to be able to tell you that the inspectors were really impressed with the changes that are happening in the school. It is still early days but the children are already making progress and are all exhibiting a love for learning and pride in their achievements. One of my main jobs has been to initiate more opportunities for communication with parents and I hope that I have done that by being available in the playground before and after school and sending out regular news letters and information letters. Feedback that I have had from parents indicates that they appreciate the opportunity to arrange meetings with teachers one evening a week after school. We have a very active PTA and they are organising monthly events to raise money for new playground equipment. The children and staff are very grateful for their dedication and hard work. If you happen to have a few spare moments they are always looking out for new members :o). I am extremely optimistic about the future of King's Ford Juniors. We have good and outstanding teachers and staff, fantastic grounds and of course amazing children. The future is looking good. Why not come and be a part of it with us? With warmest regards Karen Wallace
